2006 Review

This year was another up and down year. I started the year off with a few top 5's including a 3rd place finish at Logan when there were 40 winged cars signed in. Through the middle of the year I hit another slump and struggled through the US 24 Nationals. I then went out to Charleston Illinois for the NMMA Nationals which I had more bad luck after having a fast car all weekend. I was able to pick up 2 wins on the season before finishing out on a good note. I was able to finish in the top 5 again at Logan before heading over to Peru for their annual Outlaw show. I was right there to win that $500 to win.

I thought that my racing season was over there. I was ready for Christmas and excited to go out to my first ever Tulsa Shootout experience to help out the other Indiana racers. While there Jim Wood offered me a car to drive and Brad Smith offered his aid to help put the car together. All the work was a success as I was able to win my heat race and then also won my qualifier race to put myself into a good position for the B main. I was able to run with some of the best in the country and pull out a 6th place to move into the A main. From there I was running 12th and on the last lap was spun out and did a 360 and finished in front of my helper Brad Smith in 15th.
